STM32small Controller - H/W First Look

Our STM32 Controller board (See Main Project Page), has now had the majority of its hardware verified and the Mk1 design is basically known to be good.   So here's the first look at it:

STM32small Mk1

Known as the "STM32small" controller (due to it's 2.4"x2.4" small form factor).

This is the Mk1 design, largely aimed at verifying pin/outs errata's, getting the processor up and running and initial check out work of the STM32 microcontrollers peripherals.   A Mk2 is planned for which will tidy up and expand on items found on the Mk1.

Having now verified the majority of its peripherals, including the CAN Bus and associated transcievers.

DSP's for All....

It's been a LONG time coming, until now running a TI DSP in your hobby design has been restricted to those who had worked in the business. Otherwise the setup costs of ~$2000 to get going put the 100-150MIP processing punch of a DSP out of reach.

Those who couldn't afford TI have often been drawn down the PIC or ARM
processor paths.
